It was fluous.
It was fluous.
First off - FLUOUS isn't an English word. Second, SUPERFLUOUS is an ostentatious word that a native speaker would most likely not use more than once or twice in their life.
Tatiana, could you please compose a snippet to give me an idea of what this means and how it's used?
(1) What do you say we buy the teacher some flowers and hand them to her right before the test? She'll be so touched that she'll pass everyone.
(2) Yeah, and what if we get her a cake too? That way everyone will pass guaranteed.
(3) Nah, that'd be futile/that'd be a waste of time/that'd be gilding the lily. She once mentioned that she doesn't eat sweets because she's watching her figure. So the flowers will more than do.
Thank you, Tatiana!
Thanks, Uly!))
👍🏼 😉
Valery, please remove that stiff, archaic translation. Nobody talks like that in real life.
Uly, at least, add your good translation!
