This is only used in the expression “don’t push it!“ When you’re asking somebody for something and they’re almost at the point of giving it to you, but you start to expect or ask for more than they are willing to give. “Dad, can I borrow the car this weekend?“ “OK, you can have it until midnight.“ “And will you give me $20 for Food and “Don’t push it!”
