Valery, that's too literal and incorrect. GET means to have or receive an opportunity. In your scenario, the act of keeping someone from closing a door would be expressed with the verb STICK your foot in the door. Masha, if you're interested in the true meaning of this phrase, look at the other two translations - they're correct.
