Grumbler, in telegraphic English, you can leave off the copula. We would use this in a report, for instance.
I see. This seems to be some manual, possibly, error codes. Why 'faulty', not 'fault' - like for other items?
FAULTY means that something has stopped working properly.
To me 'fault' means essentially the same, but sounds better without a verb.
FAULT doesn’t DESCRIBE the situation because it’s not an adjective - they’re saying that the SYSTEM IS FAULTY - it needs repair.
Thank you. I still don't feel any essential difference in the context of a list/content (Washer fluid lewel low - Fog Light front right failure - Brake Light right failure - Restaraint systems faulty...) but let's leave it.
Ok, a FAILURE means that it’s not working AT ALL, whereas FAULTY means that it’s not working PROPERLY.
Now I see some sense in this. Thank you.
Anytime)))
