Это, наверное, в разных странах по-разному называется.
Вот нашла, в Королевской академии музыки Лондонского университет есть комитеты студентов...
Хотя, это зависит и от перевода.

English can be so confusing - we have student COUNCILLORS and COUNSELORS and they're both pronounced exactly the same way, but mean different things.
