Igor, *I’m totally beat today = very tired. “All beat up” means (1) that someone literally kicked your ass; (2) that you got into a vehicular accident, or some other unfortunate physical struggle or impasse, and came out full of cuts and bruises.

Alex, aren’t you a professional translator?
Really? Не может быть...
Uly, I am trying to recollect whether/either I got into a vehicular accident yesterday, or came out of a struggle full of cuts and bruises... 😋
Вот стоило только вчера покритиковать хозяев сайта (
Игорь, зачем Вы почти всегда прячете свои переводы в комментариях?
Alexander Аkimov, вот и по этой причине тоже я прячу свои переводы в комментариях. 😏
Igor, I don’t know what site that is, but that’s incorrect. Nobody would say they’re tired this way. The correct way is “I’m (totally) beat”
As for posting questionable translations in the comments - I do the same thing. It only makes sense. If it gets the seal of approval from the Russian users, I’ll post it.

This very site. ABBYY Lingvo's dictionary LingvoUniversal (En-Ru): (
Nobody would say they’re tired this way.
I found some examples in dictionaries but they may be British (like Oxford Talking Dictionary: beat-up: Overcome with hard work or difficulty, worn out, exhausted. Cf. DEAD-BEAT).
OR
"Don't ask me to move, I'm all beat-up. — Я так устал, что рукой не могу пошевелить."
The correct way is “I’m (totally) beat”
I agree.
As for posting questionable translations in the comments ...
It would be nice if the site still continues its work in a couple of years. Otherwise, vain endeavours for everything.
