You don’t CAUSE or GENERATE respect. You COMMAND or EARN or INSPIRE it FOR someone.

Я знаю, что одно из значений COMMAND - внушать/вызывать
Will it be correct to use this word in this sentence:
"Его поведение вызывает уважение нему)"
?
INSPIRE, мне кажется, здесь не подходит.
EARN - это заслужить уважение, а не вызывать

Your sentence gives a specific context in which command doesn’t work, but the original post doesn’t give a context. Regardless, I just wanted to say that the preposition TO doesn’t work. And that respect isn’t CAUSED. Other than that, with no context, it’s anyone’s game.

OK, thank you
My example was a typical context for "вызывает уважение" in Russian. It's always some actions, results, manners etc. that "вызывают уважение" to the related person.
